Mill Dene Garden is family owned and run. We have a part-time gardener and for a couple of days a week we have two ladies from WRAGS(Women Returners to Amenity Gardening)
We also outsource expertise occasionally when needed.
2. Do you offer guided tours of the garden?
We offer short talks on aspects of the garden. For groups of 20 or over this is charged at £25.
3. Are dogs allowed in the garden?
The cats have asked me not to allow dogs in the garden, but we are happy to find a shady spot for your car and some water so that your dog is comfortable, or maybe we can tie him up somewhere
4. When is the best time to visit?
From April to September there is always something of interest to see in the garden, from a magnificent bulb display in April and May through to the roses later on. See the Garden Calender under the Seasons in the Garden tab.
5. Are children welcome in the garden?
Very much so, we have a garden trail for the under 12s which is fun, however parents must be aware that the mill pond, swimming pool and the sluice cut are dangerous so please do not let them out of your sight.

At least an hour and a half to really enjoy our special brand of serendipity! You are welcome to stay all day until closing time, if you wish: many do!
